The University of Applied Sciences in Munich, Germany, held their annual degree show earlier this summer, hosting an array of projects from various design disciplines, including industrial, photo and communication design as well as transportation design projects. The nine graduating students from the Transportation Design department, headed by Professor Dr. Othmar Wickenheiser, presented projects of sponsored by Audi, BMW, Ford, Lamborghini, Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen, while continuing students showed proposals for concepts sponsored by Mercedes-Benz trucks (entitled 'Dirty Business'), Lamborghini (themed 'Raw Material') and Semcon.
Peugeot 208 Style arrives
It’s nearly two years since the new Peugeot 208 started arriving in the UK, and it’s a decent little car with plenty of options and a sensible price tag. But the newness of the 208 is starting to wear off a little, so Peugeot are aiming to put some pep in to sales and some footfall in to showrooms with a new special edition 208 – the Peugeot 208 Style. Based on the best-selling 208 Active trim, the 208 Style comes with a panoramic glass roof, SatNav, parking sensors and chrome door mirrors, with the interior getting new seat trim.
Mercedes-Benz has given us the first look at its next-generation C-Class, the W205, in a new video and interior photos. The images show the new model shares many design cues with the CLA-Class, such as the center stack, IP and steering wheel, while design cues from the S-Class include the COMAND system's control with added touchpad. The interior also features a heads-up display and an HVAC system called Air Balance.
